May 27th - June 5th
Kennaway House, Sidmouth
Curiouser and Curiouser... is the creation of five local innovative artists and friends with a passion to celebrate art, share ideas and inspire others have come together to form a collaborative group called ‘The Happy Painters Guild’ (HPG).
One of the ‘HPG’s first exciting and bold initiatives was to host this joint Exhibition with invited guest artists’ at the beautiful Kennaway House in Sidmouth to showcase the expressive individuality and diversity of some of our amazing local talent, this was unfortunately thwarted by the global pandemic which none of us could have forseen, but we are finally able to bring this Exhibition to life.
Along with the eclectic mix of friends and invited artists,
which include the fabulous Dorset based fantasy artist Sharon Hurst and the whimsical woodland painter from Exmouth, Anna Fitzgerald to name but a few,
‘Curiouser and Curiouser’
promises to excite the senses and offers a unique
creative experience for all ages.
Alongside the beautiful artworks, original unframed paintings and cards, there will be wonderful creations in a variety of other mediums including needle felt creatures by the very talented Daphne, local wood burnings by talented newcomer Lee Mcmanus and an array of beautiful print work created by Veronica at ‘Natures Grace’.
There will also be opportunities to
watch various artists at work as well as to chat to them.
Glyn Macey & Vic Bearcroft have very kindly donated pieces of their fabulous work to the HPG silent Auction in aid of the local
‘Plastic Free Community Initiatives’
So come along and support your local artists …
Its free to come and look around the exhibition
and we’d love to see you there!...
And maybe… just maybe…
When you head back to reality perhaps you’ll want to take
a little of the magic back with you…
